If you're reading this blog, you, like I, are probably wondering what the hell is going on. I have had a very rude awaking regarding life in these United States if you are unemployed and over 50. You've kept your nose clean, paid your taxes and suddenly (sometimes with little of no warning and due to no fault of your own) you're jobless. Unemployment compensation barely covers your rent let alone the other necessities. The services available to help the thousands of us who struggle to keep at least one nostril above water are virtually non-existent.
I would like for this blog to be a place where people can share ideas, what steps they are or have taken to find work, and also a place to blow off a little steam. Share your day-to-day experiences and what helps you make it through the day.
